Project Details
In 2016, I acted as an External Collaborator for the agency Rocha Comunicação to develop the digital backbone of a critical public awareness initiative: the “Eu Economizo Água” (I Save Water) campaign for EMBASA.
The goal of the campaign was to educate the population of Bahia on the importance of reducing water waste. The website served as the central hub for the campaign, providing citizens with practical tips, consumption calculators, and educational resources designed to foster more sustainable habits across the state.
Scalable CMS with WordPress
I developed the platform using WordPress, ensuring that the agency’s creative team could quickly update campaign messaging and media as the initiative evolved. The focus was on creating a lightweight, high-performance site capable of handling the traffic spikes associated with a statewide public utility campaign.
My Role & Contributions
- Lead Web Developer (Freelance/External): Took full ownership of the technical translation of Rocha Comunicação’s creative vision into a functional web product.
- User-Centric Design: Focused on clear navigation and interactive elements to make the educational content engaging and easy to digest for a diverse demographic.
- Agency Partnership: Collaborated closely with the agency’s creative directors to ensure the digital experience aligned perfectly with the broader print and television campaign.
