Project Details
In 2016, continuing my successful partnership with Rocha Comunicação, I served as the lead Front-End Developer for a major environmental campaign for ADASA. This initiative aimed to combat water wastage in Brasília, Brazil’s federal capital, requiring a sophisticated yet highly accessible digital platform.
The goal was to create a modern, high-impact Single Page Application (SPA) style website that could educate the public through interactive content. Because this was a high-profile government campaign in the capital, the site needed to be exceptionally stable, fast-loading, and visually engaging.
Interactive Data Visualization
To make water consumption data more digestible for the general public, I integrated Chart.js and other open-source JavaScript libraries. This allowed for the creation of dynamic, interactive charts that helped users visualize the impact of water waste in real-time.
My Role & Contributions
- Lead Front-End Developer: Took full ownership of the user interface, translating the agency’s creative concepts into a functional, interactive web experience.
- WordPress Integration: Built a custom, lightweight theme that allowed the agency to manage campaign content while maintaining the performance benefits of a single-page layout.
- Library Integration: Researched and implemented specialized JavaScript libraries to enhance the site’s interactivity and educational value.
